NuScript was founded on 25 years of our founder’s experience in clinical documentation and revenue cycle management. That operating background is our edge: it’s why our AI is built for the messy reality of clinical work — the specialties, the edge cases, the payer rules — and why it runs in production rather than in a demo.
We’ve lived the workflows we’re now automating. We know where the errors hide, where the denials come from, and what “good” actually looks like when a clinician, an editor, and a payer are all in the loop. That’s hard to learn from the outside — and it’s the foundation everything we build stands on.
Why we exist
Healthcare loses enormous value in the gaps between people — between the visit and the note, and between the note and the paid claim. Every handoff is a place where context is lost, quality slips, and revenue leaks. We build AI that closes those gaps.
How we build
One conviction runs through every product: healthcare AI has to do real work, at the clinical bar, and hold up in production. We ship systems that draft the note and build the claim end to end — with human accountability where it matters — not copilots that merely suggest.
Where we build
We build from Austin, Texas, close to our customers and the operating realities of clinical documentation and revenue. HIPAA, SOC 2, and a BAA on every engagement are the baseline, not an afterthought.
Why now
AI can finally do the work — not just assist.
For the first time, clinical AI is good enough to draft a complete note and build a payer-ready claim — not to suggest edits, but to do the work, with people accountable for quality. That shifts the economics of documentation and revenue from a headcount problem to a software one.
NuScript is building for that shift on two fronts at once — documentation with Dictra and the revenue cycle with Zera — from a foundation of real operating experience most AI teams don’t have.
